Draft — not yet reviewed by a lawyer. This privacy notice describes what the platform actually does today, written from the database schema and the code rather than from a template. It has not been reviewed by counsel and should be before anyone relies on it. If something here does not match how the product behaves, the product is right and this page is wrong — tell us at mail@reallyfeproductions.com.
The Blue Couch is the members’ platform of Reallyfe Street Starz, a RealLyfe Productions property based in Dallas, Texas. This page describes what we hold about you, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect

What we do not collect
- No card numbers. Payments run through Stripe and merchandise through Shopify. Card details go to them and never touch our servers.
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The only cookie we set is the one that keeps you signed in.
- No location tracking, no contact-list access, no device fingerprinting.
- No sale of personal information to anybody, for any purpose.
Who else sees it
Only the services needed to run the platform, and only what each one needs:
- Our own servers (Hetzner, Germany) run the database and the live-room media server. Your account data lives here, not with a third-party backend.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that signups are human. It receives a verification token and your IP address at signup only.
- Stripe processes payments and subscriptions.
- Shopify handles merchandise orders and prize fulfilment.
- Resend sends transactional email.
- YouTube serves the video catalogue. We embed via youtube-nocookie.com, which does not set tracking cookies until you press play. After that, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.
- Google Fonts and Fontshare serve typefaces. Requesting a font reveals your IP address to them.
What other members can see
The Lobby is readable without an account, so treat anything you post as public. Visible to anyone: your handle, display name, bio, avatar, membership tier, your posts, your reactions, your room chat, and your points total if you appear on the Wall. Not visible to other members: your email address, your password, your check-in history, your full points ledger, your shipping details, and your payment identifiers.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account exists. The points ledger is append-only by design — entries are never edited or removed, because a balance you can rewrite is not a balance. Backups are kept for 14 days and then deleted.
Your choices
- See or correct your data — most of it is editable on your profile. For the rest, email us.
- Unsubscribe — every newsletter carries a link, and it works immediately.
- Delete your account — email us and we will action it. Being straight with you: full self-service deletion is not built yet, and the append-only ledger means an erasure request is handled by disconnecting your identity from your activity rather than by deleting ledger rows. If you want your data gone, write to us and we will tell you exactly what was done.
If you are in the UK, EU, or California you have rights of access, correction, deletion, and objection. Exercise any of them by emailing mail@reallyfeproductions.com.
Children
The Blue Couch is not intended for anyone under 13, and some content is adult in tone and intended for 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, tell us and we will remove it.
Security, honestly stated
Passwords are hashed, traffic is encrypted in transit, database access is restricted per-row, and private columns are unreadable even by other signed-in members. No system is perfect; if we ever discover a breach affecting your data we will tell you what happened and what we did.
